I was looking online through the Veranda magazine’s website, and I stumble upon an article published in the winter 2016. The Christmas edition had a nice surprise because I recognize the interior of this special home in the mountains. In fact, there was quite a few pages with an article and great pictures by Eric Piasecki, that I would like to share with you.

The House Tour title was and  I quote ” A Delightful Utah Mountain House Full Of Playful Patterns With a riot of plaids and pretty quilts, Anthony Baratta infuses classic American decorating with a new sense of whimsy and wonder.”

Yes, this house is special to me, because of the walls. A large number of rooms have fabric wall upholstery in various colorful wool patterns and other type of fabric too. I had so much fun working with the fabrics that you are going to see below. They were of good quality and felt really nice in the touch. Some of the manufacturers are Holland & Sherry, Ralph Lauren, Lee Jofa or Casamance just to name a few. Congratulations to the interior designer Anthony Baratta for his choice of fabrics.

Lets look closer at the some of the fabric patterns

So, the home is in a ski resort with amazing views surrounded by tall pine trees. The interior is warm, full of old-time decorative furniture and object with lots of reference to winter holidays. For example, this space is for getting ready for the slopes, with wooden old small skis on the wood panels. Note, the small check fabric on the ceiling and the red stars in the back of the bench.

I took that photo just after the accessories were in place where the ceiling shows more.

Also in the entrance hall, the walls have a grey wool fabric embroidered with large white snow flakes.

Here is the large living room with an exceptional view to the mountains, believe me.
In the far left, the dining room has a fun fabric. My next photo below shows you the unique room.

The table which sits ten people has walls upholstered from a low chair rail to the ceiling.

Lets look at closer the pattern, the big bucks are in dark brown velvet with a beige background finished by a flat leather band. The challenge here was the cabinet already in place. A clean edge track  was used by the wood of this wine cabinet making a clean finish all around it.

One of the bedroom has fabric on walls from floor to ceiling, in a deep green like the color of the pine trees outside. A reminder in the photographies framed by the corners and above the chimney. It is an elegant masculine room in the mountains.
